The Gurnee, IL Police Department seeks an experienced law enforcement professional to join our team in the role of Public Safety Compliance Officer.

The position is responsible for processing public records requests, reporting crime data, maintenance of records subject to statutory expungement requirements and other duties as assigned. Duties include acting as Department FOIA officer; assisting with National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS); and juvenile and cannabis offense records expungement.

• Previous experience performing work of the same nature (FOIA’s, expungements, etc.)
• LEADS less than full access certification
• Certification by the State of Illinois as a FOIA Officer or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment
• Prior experience as a law enforcement officer (desirable)
• Experience / knowledge of  and GovQA software systems (desirable)
• US citizen or naturalized citizen

• Anticipated salary hiring range $79,652 - $87,816 +/- DOQ/E
