The Elite Stylist engages guests, consults on hair care, and recommends products and services. The role supports the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) and focuses on performance (service sales, productivity), people (guest service), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards). A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge aptitude are essential.

• Perform hair services including design, haircuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup, brow services, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Meet or exceed a sales goal of $1900 average weekly sales and productivity goals for hair services by delivering exceptional guest service and contributing to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Support in‑store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives that deliver an unrivaled guest experience.
• Stay informed about new trends, products, and services and be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail and service recommendations.
• Serve all guests, including walk‑in, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams to provide a total‑store and well‑rounded guest experience.
• Establish professional peer and brand partner relationships that foster collaborative guest service.
• Share benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for continuous professional development.

• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures before, during, and after services; ensure compliance with state board guidelines.
• Follow established service protocols for a consistent, exceptional guest experience.
• Use appropriate booking and clientele systems for repeat services and events.
• Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager to ensure guest readiness.
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness of the salon, salesfloor, restrooms, backroom, break area, and any assigned area.
• Adhere to the Ulta Beauty dress code.
• Protect company assets by following loss‑prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• Cosmetology license

• Previous relevant work experience is required

• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for haircutting, hair color, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, brow services, and ear piercing (where applicable) or an aptitude to develop skills in all service categories.
• Proficiency with use of equipment and chemicals needed to perform technical work.
• Proficiency to demonstrate, recommend and sell professional hair care and makeup products.
• Developed communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and clientele.

• Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Continuous mobility during shift.
• Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs. during shift.
