Location:

Gurnee IBJI – a dedicated team specializing in sports medicine, blood flow restriction, dry needling, pelvic floor therapy, orthotic and gait assessment, work conditioning, and functional capacity evaluations (FCEs). We focus on interprofessional care and value professional growth.

Job Summary

The position is under the general direction of the Facility Manager. The main focus is providing superior outpatient rehabilitation services through a collaborative care model with our physicians to optimize patient performance and enhance the quality of function.

Responsibilities
  • Exceptional patient care
  • Interpret physician orders, perform initial evaluations and establish treatment plans and functional goals
  • Responsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care
  • Written documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehab
  • Determine appropriate discharge timeline and appropriate follow up
  • Supervision of Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed
  • Compliance with daily paperwork. PT/PTAs/ATCs are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (initial evals, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP)
  • Stay current with billing policies and demonstrate ethical billing practices
  • Maintain active state license by earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI-sponsored educational opportunities
  • Develop positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI
  • Takes an active role in the patient medical team: office visits with physicians, contact with case managers, etc.
  • Participate in programs sponsored by IBJI:
    Mentoring, clinical educator, special interest group, community outreach
Requirements
  • Graduate from accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • New Grad Physical Therapists eligible to apply
  • Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds
  • Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing
  • Ability to stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes
  • Ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day

Base salary offers may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
