Phlebotomist Opportunity

Location:

Gurnee, IL

Pay Rate: $25/hr

Employment Type:

Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with rotating Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm

As a Phlebotomist, you play a critical role in delivering a positive patient experience while ensuring accurate specimen collection and processing. Your attention to detail, strong technical skills, and patient-focused approach help support quality diagnostic testing and patient care.

What You'll Do
  • Collect high-quality blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
  • Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
  • Verify patient demographics and ensure accurate specimen labeling in the patient's presence
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation while adhering to established protocols
  • Provide exceptional customer service and create a safe, professional environment for patients
  • Support multiple patient service center and physician office locations as needed
  • Perform daily activities accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision
What We're Looking For
  • A current, up-to-date resume
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Minimum of 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Keyboard and data entry experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations as needed
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record, if applicable
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements
