Insurance Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments
  • Submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
  • Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and resolve claim issues or denials
  • Review explanations of benefits (EOBs) and ensure accurate account posting
  • Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, benefits, and policy details
  • Assist patients and families with questions related to insurance coverage and claims
  • Work closely with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate treatment coding and claim submission
  • Maintain organized and accurate insurance records and documentation
  • Support other administrative tasks and office duties as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative or insurance experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing insurance claims and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with insurance companies and patients in a professional and helpful manner
  • Comfort explaining insurance benefits and claim processes to patients and families

Salary: $18–21 / Hour
