Our client is seeking a Sr. SQL Admin to design, build, and maintain a unified data architecture to support enterprise‑wide reporting and analytics. This role blends SQL development, and Power BI expertise to integrate multiple data sources into a single, trusted reporting layer. The ideal candidate will build ETL pipelines, optimize semantic models, and partner closely with finance and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, accurate, decision‑driving insights.
WhatYou Will Do Data & Reporting Support
- Help organize and improve data models used for reporting in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Assist with reviewing existing data and supporting data migration efforts.
- Create and update tables, metrics, and documentation used in reports.
- Support data refresh schedules and basic performance improvements.
- Help build and maintain data pipelines using SSIS and Microsoft Fabric Dataflows.
- Troubleshoot data issues with guidance from senior team members.
- Learn when data should be stored in the warehouse versus accessed through views.
- Write and update SQL queries to support reports and dashboards.
- Maintain SQL views used by Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Learn how to optimize queries and work with stored procedures.
- Work with finance, operations, and analytics teams to understand reporting needs.
- Help translate business questions into data and reporting solutions.
- Participate in team discussions about improving data and reporting processes.
- Build and maintain Power BI datasets and reports with support from senior analysts.
- Assist with Power BI deployments and basic version control processes.
- Learn DAX calculations and support paginated reports as skills grow.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, IT, or a related field; finance or accounting knowledge is strongly preferred.
- Master’s or MBA is a plus.
- Power BI certification preferred.
- Microsoft Fabric certification preferred.
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior finance and business leaders.
