How Will You Make an Impact?

As an Inventory Control Specialist at our Gurnee, IL facility , you will ensure the accuracy of inventory records and optimize material flow to support production and distribution operations. You will leverage system expertise, data analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive inventory integrity, reduce waste, and improve overall supply chain performance.

What Will You Do?

Manage and monitor inventory levels , ensuring accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations.

Utilize SAP MRP to plan and execute material requirements, ensuring material availability for production.

Oversee receiving, storage, and shipping processes in accordance with established procedures.

Partner with cross‑functional teams including Production, Purchasing, and Logistics to improve inventory flow and processes.

Analyze inventory data using Microsoft Excel to identify discrepancies, trends, and improvement opportunities.

Develop and implement strategies to reduce inventory waste, obsolescence, and shrinkage .Provide guidance and support to team members on inventory control best practices ; may assist in leading daily activities.

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding inventory status, risks, and issues .Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to materials management and logistics.

Utilize collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams) to support communication and coordination.

Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Comply with all company security policies and procedures.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

How Will You Get Here?

Education & Experience High school diploma required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience in inventory control, materials control, or materials management required.

Experience with SAP MRP systems required.

Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices .Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Experience analyzing data to identify discrepancies and process improvements .Understanding of shipping, receiving, and warehouse processes .Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.

Ability to lead or influence others in a team-oriented environment .Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities.
