Sanitation Supervisor – 3rd Shift

Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 annually

A premier food manufacturer in Gurnee, IL — recently integrated into a major industry portfolio with strong growth momentum — is seeking a 3rd Shift Sanitation Supervisor with HACCP and GMP expertise. You'll lead a sanitation team responsible for keeping a USDA‑regulated food plant clean, compliant, and running at peak readiness every night.

• Plan and coordinate daily sanitation activities to ensure all cleaning schedules are met for a USDA food plant
• Manage the full sanitation process — ensure equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected
• Ensure correct and safe use of sanitizing chemicals, safety equipment, power equipment, and manual tools
• Oversee compliance with SSOPs, GMPs, SOPs, HACCP, and all applicable government regulations
• Drive continuous improvement and coach team members on sanitation standards and performance
• 3rd shift schedule: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

• BS in a science field or Certified Sanitarian preferred
• 5+ years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing plant, including supervisory experience
• Knowledge of HACCP, microbiology, sanitation, chemical safety, pest control, and GFSI standards
• Understanding of OSHA, FDA, USDA, and EPA regulatory compliance
• Strong communication, coaching, leadership, and analytical skills
• Flexible schedule availability including periodic shift rotation
