** JOB SUMMARY*
* The Maintenance Technician II is an experienced technical resource responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position supports a highly regulated medical manufacturing environment and requires strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and troubleshooting capabilities.
The Maintenance Technician II is expected to work independently, respond effectively to equipment downtime, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and other support functions to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and production continuity.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
* + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
+ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, automation, assembly equipment, and facility systems.
+ Support injection molding machines and associated manufacturing equipment.
+ Troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, sensors, heaters, thermocouples, relays, contractors, and other machine controls.
+ Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, regulators, fittings, and related components.
+ Respond to production equipment breakdowns with a strong sense of urgency and work to safely restore equipment to operation.
+ Perform root cause troubleshooting on recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
+ Complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities accurately and on time.
+ Support equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
+ Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of robotic and automated manufacturing systems.
+ Partner with Process Engineering, Automation Engineering, Tooling, and Operations to resolve equipment-related production issues.
+ Identify opportunities to reduce equipment downtime, improve preventive maintenance effectiveness, and increase equipment reliability.
+ Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, repairs, and parts usage within the site's maintenance system.
+ Follow applicable safety requirements, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and site procedures.
+ Perform work in accordance with requirements associated with an FDA-registered, ISO 13485 medical manufacturing environment.
+ Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to less-experienced maintenance technicians as needed.
+ Assist with spare-parts identification and recommendations for critical manufacturing equipment.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, equipment uptime, and operational performance.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
+ Perform additional maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned.
** Qualifications*

** 10 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience
** in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience maintaining
** plastic injection molding equipment
** and associated auxiliary equipment.
+ Strong experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. robotics, automation, conveyors, dryers, chillers, temperature controllers, material handling systems, and related auxiliary equipment.
+ Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose complex equipment failures.
+ Experience in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, hydraulic diagrams, and pneumatic diagrams.
+ Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and machine controls.
+ Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout and industrial safety practices.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize multiple equipment issues.
+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work effectively with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and other technical functions.

* + Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
+ Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in and around manufacturing equipment.
+ Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
