Nurse Educator, Director of Nursing
GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Clinical Manager.
Position purposeProvide supervision to nursing and clinical support staff who provide professional nursing care to patients. Maintain knowledge of company clinical standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Support and adhere to the Illinois Gastroenterology Group Compliance program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

- Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing and clinical support activities.
- Maintains effective nursing staff coverage within budgetary constraints.
- Works closely with Practice Manager in determining staffing requirements.
- Screens and interviews nursing applicants, orienting and training staff as required.
- Assists with review and revision of clinical policies and procedures.
- Assists with annual performance evaluations for clinical staff.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates staffing including vacations, sick leave, and overtime.
- Coordinates clinical training and in‑services as required.
- Ensures clinical staff maintain competency on an annual basis.
- Verifies all clinical staff licensure is up to date.
- Maintains current knowledge of G.I. nursing, and functions as a resource to junior level staff.
- Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation.
- Follow policy and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the office.
- May perform other clinical and/or administrative duties as assigned by Practice Administrator or Clinical Manager (within general scope of skills…)
- Collaborate with Research for potential patients.
- Maintain drug inventory.
- Oversee clinical staff for Gurnee, Highland Park & Libertyville Office Locations. Travel between locations required.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing/Administration/Management;
Master’s preferred.
Experience: 5-10 years nursing and management or project management experience preferred.
Additional Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse License.
Performance Requirements- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient technical (computer) skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Self-motivated with initiative.
- Strong sense of ethics.
