Assistant Store Manager responsible for driving sales, managing store operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies and visual standards.

• Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
• Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual sales statistics.
• Provide consistent, documented appraisal of associates’ sales performance, offering feedback and support.
• Maintain visual guidelines: proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the company dress code policy.

• Protect company assets within Lids Retail policy guidelines.
• Assist in preparing store schedules that provide proper coverage and adhere to wage control guidelines.
• Follow all policies to manage inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, price changes, and conducting product counts.
• Perform proper documentation and record‑keeping per Lids Retail policies and state/federal laws.
• Open and close the store as required following operational procedures.
• Support and adhere to all Lids policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Participate in Lids Training Programs and adhere to set sales and task goals, with regular follow‑up.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper operations and procedures.
• Encourage direct compliance of associates with established company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Perform subordinates’ work as needed.
• Communicate with employees at all levels of the company.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of related experience.
• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear verbal communication.
• Ability to operate a computer and related software programs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb a ladder and work with hands overhead.
• Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Compensation may vary by skills, experience, and location. Assistant Store Mangers PT are also available for monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
