CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Good Pay + $10K Bonus | Home Daily
Earn approximately $75,000 per year on a dedicated intermodal account with Monday–Friday scheduling, evening starts, and daily home time. Drivers receive a $10,000 bonus, paid training, and additional compensation for specialty loads and delays.
Pay Details- Average Weekly Pay:
Approximately $1,442 - Bonus: $10,000
- New drivers start at $0.48 CPM, with a $0.01 annual increase up to $0.55 CPM.
- All hub miles paid, including loaded and empty miles.
- Customer live load: $65
- Customer drop-and-hook: $40
- Hazmat load: +$25
- Refrigerated load: +$30
- Empty move: $15
- Crosstown drop: $23–$55, based on ramp distance
- Rail delay: $20/hour after the first hour
- Additional wait-time pay may apply after the listed waiting period.
- Ramp training: $250 per day for at least 5 full days
- 100% no-touch freight
- Transport containers to Chicago rail yards daily.
- Approximately 1,500 miles per week
- Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire.
- Hazmat endorsement costs may be reimbursed after obtaining the endorsement with proper documentation.
- Potential opportunity to transfer to a preferred shift after 6 months.
- Monday–Friday schedule
- 6:00 PM start time
- Drivers are home daily.
- Thanksgiving and Christmas time off is not guaranteed, although most drivers may be off.
- Holiday pay is available after 90 days on the account.
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
- DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- No SAP drivers
- Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire
- Ability to operate in Chicago-area rail yardsNOMIANN...=Fellow tech
- No smoking inside the truck
- Intermodal container and chassis equipment
- Slip-seat operation
- Tractors remain at the yard during time off
- Equipment cannot be taken home
- PTO accrual begins on the first day of employment
- 18 paid days off initially: 12 PTO days + 6 holidays
- After 1–5 years: 22 paid days off
- 6–13 years: 27 paid days off
- 14–18 years: 30 paid days off
- 19+ years: 32 paid days off
