The Sunflower Seeds is a leading literary agency working with authors, publishers, creators, and thought leaders to build powerful books and author brands. We manage PR, marketing, positioning, and visibility for some of the most exciting voices in the Indian publishing ecosystem.

We are looking for a proactive and media-savvy Book Publicist who can independently manage author publicity, media outreach, and book campaigns. This role requires strong communication skills, relationship-building ability, and an understanding of how stories travel across media platforms.

• Pitch authors and books to print, digital, TV, podcast, and radio media

• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and influencers

• Draft press releases, pitches, author bios, and media notes

• Plan and execute book launches, media campaigns, interviews, and events

• Track coverage and prepare PR reports

• Coordinate with authors, internal teams, and event partners

• Identify new PR opportunities and creative angles for storytelling

• 1–2 years experience in PR, media, publishing, or communications (books/media experience preferred)

• Excellent written and spoken English

• Strong pitching and follow-up skills

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple campaigns

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Genuine interest in books, authors, culture, and storytelling
