Working closely with the Creative Head, you will translate collection concepts into original print stories, ensuring every artwork reflects the brand's aesthetic and attention to detail.
About the Role
- Print Development
* Develop original print artworks based on collection concepts and creative direction.
* Create placement prints, engineered prints, repeat patterns, borders, motifs, and surface graphics.
* Work across hand-painted, illustrated, mixed-media, and digital artwork techniques.
* Build and maintain seasonal print libraries and artwork archives.
Research & Design Development
* Conduct visual research across art, textiles, architecture, craft, travel, nature, and culture.
* Expand collection themes through artwork explorations and print development.
* Present artwork concepts and print options for review and refinement.
Production & Vendor Coordination
* Prepare production-ready artwork with accurate repeats, scaling, colourways, and technical specifications.
* Coordinate with print vendors through sampling and bulk production.
* Review strike-offs, colour approvals, and sample developments to maintain quality standards.
* Manage timelines and resolve technical print-related challenges.
Team Management
* Lead and mentor the Assistant Textile Designer.
* Delegate research, artwork refinements, technical artwork preparation, and sampling tasks.
* Foster a collaborative, detail-oriented, and creatively driven work environment.
Skills & Qualifications
* 5–6+ years of experience in textile or print design within premium, contemporary, or luxury fashion.
* Exceptional illustration and artwork development skills across traditional and digital mediums.
* Strong understanding of print repeats, engineered placements, colourways, and textile production processes.
* Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
* Experience working with digital, screen, pigment, and other textile printing techniques.
* Strong project management, vendor coordination, and organizational skills.
