About the Role
We are looking for a technically strong and commercially aware Finance Controller to anchor the controllership function s is a foundational role where you will own the integrity of our books, financial reporting, regulatory compliance and internal controls, while building scalable finance processes for a fast-growing NBFC.
The ideal candidate combines strong expertise in Ind AS, taxation and audit with a deep understanding of lending businesses, RBI regulations and financial controls. You should be a hands-on process builder who takes ownership, has a high bar for accuracy and enjoys building systems and processes from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Controllership & Reporting
Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly and annual financial close, ensuring accurate and timely accounting, reconciliations and reporting.
Prepare and review financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement in accordance with Ind AS and applicable regulatory requirements.
Oversee journal entries, ledger reconciliations, provisions, accruals and other key accounting controls.
Ensure robust accounting for lending-related income and expenses, including interest income, processing fees, penal charges, EIR and other revenue streams.
Drive accounting and reporting under Ind AS 109, including ECL and financial instrument accounting.
Produce accurate management MIS and financial reporting, partnering with FP&A and business teams on performance reporting and analysis.
NBFC Regulatory & Lending Finance
Own RBI regulatory reporting and ensure timely and accurate submission of applicable returns.
Oversee accounting and reporting relating to NPA classification, provisioning, capital adequacy and other prudential requirements.
Drive robust reconciliation between the Loan Management System, collections, bank accounts and General Ledger.
Ensure accuracy of loan balances, interest, repayments, write-offs, reversals and other lending transactions.
Support the CFO on RBI inspections, regulatory matters and implementation of changes in the regulatory framework.
Tax, Audit & Statutory Compliance
Oversee GST, TDS, income tax and other direct and indirect tax compliances.
Manage tax assessments, notices and correspondence with tax authorities, working with external advisors where required.
Lead the statutory and internal audit process end-to-end, including audit schedules, auditor queries and timely closure of observations.
Ensure compliance with applicable Companies Act, MCA and other statutory requirements.
Partner with Legal & Compliance on regulatory filings and debt/funding-related covenant compliance.
Internal Controls & Process Excellence
Design, implement and continuously strengthen the internal financial control framework across finance and lending operations.
