Role Description  The Vertical Head – Circular Economy & Waste Solutions will lead the strategy, development, and execution of initiatives focused on circular economy, waste valorization, and sustainable materials. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. The role includes identifying and developing new business opportunities, building partnerships with industry, government, and community stakeholders, and overseeing end-to-end project life cycles. The Vertical Head will design and implement scalable waste management and circular economy models, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure projects align with regulatory, environmental, and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities also include setting performance targets, tracking impact metrics, preparing business cases and presentations, and mentoring team members to build a high-performing, purpose-driven unit.
Qualifications
Strong background in circular economy, waste management, sustainability, or environmental engineering, with demonstrated experience leading relevant programs or business verticals.
Proven ability to design and execute strategy, including market assessment, business planning, and development of scalable, commercially viable solutions.
Experience managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with operations, technology, and finance, and driving projects from concept to implementation.
Ability to build and manage partnerships with government bodies, regulatory agencies, industry collaborators, and community organizations.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical or environmental concepts to diverse audiences.
Comfort with data-driven decision-making, impact measurement, and preparation of reports, proposals, and investment decks.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Business Management, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
Experience in start-up, climate-tech, infra-tech, or social impact sectors is highly beneficial, along with a strong commitment to sustainability and inclusive development.
