At the young Stichting Battery Competence Cluster The Netherlands (BCC‑NL), there is a challenging role for an experienced Business Controller. In this role, you will have a broad responsibility and advise the director on both financial and non‑financial strategic issues. Your advice helps in making substantiated decisions that contribute to the growth ambition and continuity of the organization.

BCC‑NL is a socially responsible organization and operates in the public‑private domain where it collaborates with government bodies, knowledge institutions, industry, and trade associations. You will work within a compact and dynamic team with currently 12 colleagues. The team implements the tasks of the program office of the national growth fund program Material Independence & Circular Batteries (MICB). Within the team, you function as the hub and provide concrete steering information, carry out accurate administration, and are the financial conscience of the organization.

As a Business Controller, you will, among other things, have the following tasks:

• You will think along with the strategy and translate it into a multi‑year plan and budget plan and additional subsidy applications;
• You will be responsible for drawing up the planning & control documents and initiate process improvements where necessary;
• You will prepare annual and quarterly reports for the management, board, and subsidy providers, analyze these and make proposals to adjust the budget plan;
• You will be the first point of contact for the accountant for the purpose of annual accounts and subsidy accountability control.

You easily switch between numbers, people, and processes. You work independently but also actively seek collaboration. And of course, you feel at home in an environment where growth is central.

Minimum of a higher professional education or university degree in a financial or business economics direction;

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Controller or similar financial position;

Affinity for working in a project‑based environment, preferably with subsidy relations;

You think ahead, are analytically strong, are not easily out of your depth, and take initiative;

Good communication skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.

Plus points: good English language skills, experience with Exact Online for reports & financial overviews, affinity with technology and innovation.

Furthermore, we offer you:

• A contract of 20 hours per week with a temporary employment agreement of 1 year with a view to a permanent contract;
• With growth of the Foundation, an increase in the number of hours per week is discussable;
• With a full‑time employment contract, you are entitled to 10 extra days off in addition to the legally stipulated 20 days;
