Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations including ordering, stocking, merchandising, and inventory control.
- Input orders and quote material lists accurately.
- Assist customers with product selection and provide excellent service.
- Write tickets for stock and special orders.
- Work closely with outside sales staff and support their accounts.
- Monitor open orders and ensure timely completion.
- Set up loads with dispatch and coordinate deliveries and credit pick-ups.
- Process confirmations, invoices, and credits.
- Maintain a clean, organized sales floor.
- Operate cash register accurately.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience in construction or construction sales is a plus.
- Experience with Sales Processes or Administration.
- Familiarity with Biz Track is a plus.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to assess situations, prioritize tasks, and make timely decisions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Comfortable using office equipment such as computers, calculators, phones, copiers, etc.
- Professional, timely, and considerate with excellent customer service skills.
- Able to operate and manage a cash register accurately and process large amounts of information.
- Must be detail-oriented, proactive, reliable, and flexible.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Positive attitude and professional approach to work.
