Guthrie, OK | $16-$25/hr

Looking for a career instead of just another job?

At Cyclone Septic & Plumbing, this position is the foundation of our field team. You’ll do the hands‑on work that keeps our projects moving while learning alongside experienced installers, service technicians, pump truck operators, and plumbers.

This is a physically demanding job, and much of your day will involve digging, lifting, loading materials, operating tools, and helping wherever the team needs you.

But for the right person, it’s also the starting point for a long‑term career.

The employees who show initiative, learn quickly, and demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills have opportunities to advance into service, installation, equipment operation, pumping, plumbing, and leadership roles as they develop.

Every day is different. One day you may be helping install a septic system. The next day you might be assisting with repairs, pumping septic tanks, troubleshooting a system, or helping deliver materials to a job site.

We’re a family‑owned company based in Guthrie that’s been serving central Oklahoma since 2016. We believe in treating employees with respect, providing opportunities for growth, and promoting from within whenever possible.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with septic system installations
  • Assist service technicians with inspections, repairs, and maintenance
  • Help pump residential and commercial septic systems
  • Operate hand tools and equipment safely
  • Load, unload, and move materials and equipment
  • Dig, grade, and perform general site work
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Follow company procedures and safety requirements
  • Learn new skills and assist wherever needed
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid of hard work and wants to build valuable skills.

The right person:

  • Shows up every day ready to work.
  • Takes pride in doing quality work, even on the jobs nobody sees.
  • Learns from mistakes instead of repeating them.
  • Pays attention and remembers what they’re taught.
  • Asks questions because they want to understand, not just complete the task.
  • Takes initiative instead of waiting to be told every step.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Construction, agriculture, oilfield, landscaping, plumbing, septic, or mechanical experience is a plus
Growth Opportunities

Not everyone will move beyond this position, and that’s okay.

But if you demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, the ability to learn, and the aptitude to solve increasingly complex problems, you’ll have opportunities to advance into roles such as:

  • Service Expert
  • Septic Installer
  • Pump Truck Operator
  • Equipment Operator
  • Plumbing Apprentice

We promote from within whenever possible because we’d rather develop great people than constantly hire from outside.

What We Offer
  • $16-$25/hr depending on experience
  • Health insurance
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off
  • Uniform and boot allowance
  • Monday-Friday schedule
  • Overtime available when desired
  • Home every night
  • Hands‑on training and continuing education
  • Opportunities to advance into service, installation, pumping, equipment operation, plumbing, and leadership roles

We have a small team, and every person matters. Showing up to work every day and arriving on time is a requirement, not a suggestion. The people who advance at Cyclone are the people who can be counted on, work hard, take initiative, and are willing to learn.
