Rendering Supervisor (A shift)
Rendering Operations Supervisor opportunity in our Guymon, Oklahoma processing facility. This position provides day-to-day direction and oversight for rendering operations on a designated shift and is responsible for safety, performance, productivity, and efficiency to meet the needs of operations in a facility producing over 600,000 pounds of rendered products and by-products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Apply a systematic approach, including lean manufacturing principles, to monitor equipment, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment per schedule.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
- Supervise a team that interprets work orders and specifications to determine if machines require replacement, repair, or general maintenance.
- Investigate, identify, and resolve operational constraints to minimize bottlenecks and prevent downtime.
- Analyze daily data for department processes and equipment to ensure consistent operations.
- Ensure the operations team performs tasks according to established standard operating procedures and checklists.
- Prepare the department daily for maximum efficiencies.
- Understand and apply key performance indicators and their impact on operations.
- Monitor work schedules to maintain established manning levels and accurately record staffing and time worked.
- Supervise all employees, monitor performance, direct work, ensure accurate timekeeping, and ensure training and safety compliance.
- Adhere to all company policies and SOPs regarding product quality, food safety, and workplace safety.
- Collaborate with operations and support departments to integrate mechanical engineering activities into the production process.
Instills trust, communicates effectively, action-oriented, ensures accountability, and drives results.

Required:
- High School or GED.
- At minimum two years rendering or maintenance experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at all levels and with regulatory agencies.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in an engineering or related field and/or two or more years of supervisory experience in protein, rendering or similar processing facility preferred.
- Bi-lingual preferred but not required.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Shift is required by the needs of the business.

- Regular movement around the facility; must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities including near and color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Primarily an office environment with some field work.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
- Noise level varies by environment.
- Hours and days are set by departmental needs; after-hours, weekends, and overnight travel may be required.
