Overview
We have an exciting Inventory Control Lead opportunity in our Guymon Processing Plant. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the box shop team. The Inventory Control Lead will be responsible for maintaining the inspection, verification, recording, and input of data into a system for the receipt and distribution of packaging materials for a pork harvest facility—ability to communicate and collaborate with management and operations effectively.
Responsibilities- Physically receives and records all packaging materials in the company’s inventory system
- Must understand labeling and lot system for product packaging
- Conducts inventory counts, rotation, and transferring tasks, as required, and enters counts into the inventory control system using RF scanners
- Monitors, verifies, and maintains inventory levels using existing inventory system
- Maintain system data integrity, ensure entries follow defined nomenclature to support competitive sourcing events
- Ability to operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) and maintain the certification
- May be required to supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees in the absence of the Supervisor under the direction of departmental management
- Communicates effectively and collaborates with department leaders and operations management to ensure the position provides a high level of customer service and accountability
- Complies with all food safety and workplace safety practices and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned

QualificationsRequired:
- High School or GED.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Packaging and/or inventory experience, including mathematics and ability to interpret varying units of measure
- Work experience in purchasing, materials management or other related field in a high volume, fast-paced work environment is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel skills or similar application and M3 or other inventory control system experience preferred
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.
- The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Primarily an office environment with some need to work in the field.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is dependent on which environment you are in.
