Business Manager Engineering – SII

At SII Netherlands, we are supporting leading clients in the Aerospace, Space and Defense sectors. To support our growth in the Dutch market, we are looking for a Business Manager Engineering to develop new business opportunities, recruit top engineering talent, and manage consultant careers.

As a Business Manager, you will play a key role in the development of SII Netherlands by combining business development, recruitment, and people management.

Your responsibilities include:

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities;

• Prospecting and meeting decision-makers within engineering organizations;

• Building long-term partnerships with clients;

• Understanding customer technical challenges and staffing needs;

• Managing RFQs, tenders, and contract negotiations;

• Ensuring profitability and sustainable growth of your business unit;

• Working closely with SII international entities to deliver engineering expertise.

• Aerospace, Space & Defense

• Mechanical Engineering

• Aerospace Manufacturing

Your responsibilities include:

• Defining recruitment strategies based on client needs;

• Sourcing and interviewing engineering professionals;

• Assessing technical and soft skills with support from experts;

• Managing offers and contract negotiations;

• Supporting consultant onboarding and integration;

• Conducting regular follow-up meetings and career discussions;

• Ensuring employee satisfaction and retention.

• Master's degree (Engineering, Business, Economics, or equivalent);

• Initial experience in business development, recruitment, consulting, or engineering services;

• Entrepreneurial mindset and strong commercial drive;

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills;

• Ability to build long‑time client relationships;

• Fluent in English;

• Dutch is considered a strong asset;

• Strong organizational skills, resilience, and autonomy.
