Position: AP Clerk (Bergen County- NJ)

Accounts Payable (AP)
Junior Level | Contract-to-Hire | Hackensack, NJ | Pay: $22–$25/hour

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to support our finance team with invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial records. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is reliable, organized, and looking for growth opportunities. This is a contract or contract-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Process and code vendor invoices for payment
  • Review, validate, and match invoices with purchase orders/receipts
  • Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, etc.)
  • Reconcile AP accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Respond to vendor inquiries professionally
  • Maintain organized and accurate AP documentation
  • Assist with month-end closing activities
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of accounts payable, accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience
  • Comfortable using accounting software and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
