Legal Calendar CoordinatorThe Legal Calendar Coordinator will manage and maintain firm‑wide litigation calendars, including court dates, filing deadlines, hearings, mediations, and client meetings. This role involves reviewing court rules and orders, identifying critical deadlines, and accurately entering and updating them in the firm’s calendaring system. The coordinator will monitor changes to schedules, promptly communicate updates to attorneys and staff, and ensure timely reminders and notifications.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating with courts and opposing counsel regarding scheduling, assisting with preparation of basic calendar‑related legal notices, and generating regular calendar reports as necessary. The position requires consistent attention to detail, confidentiality, and effective communication with legal teams in a virtual environment.
- Strong foundation in the legal field, with the ability to understand court rules, procedures, and litigation timelines.
- Proficiency in scheduling, including notices, cover letters, and deadline summaries.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret court orders, calculate deadlines, and identify potential conflicts or risks.
- Clear and professional communication skills for coordinating with attorneys, clients, staff, courts, and external parties.
- Experience with legal calendaring or docketing systems and common office software (e.g., Outlook, case management tools, MS Office).
- High level of accuracy, organization, and time management, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a remote setting.
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal department, particularly in litigation support or docketing, is strongly preferred.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in legal administration or calendar coordination.
This is a full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm position. ONSITE.
