PositionPurpose
As a Data Analyst, this position applies data mining, statistical, and modeling techniques to various types of data on a daily basis. The role works closely with multiple operational areas, including Metering, Systems Maintenance, Production, and Finance, to develop and implement corrective solutions based on data insights.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Analyze datasets related to customer accounts to detect patterns and trends helpful for diagnosing consumption, asset failure, and maintenance needs.
- Cleanse and categorize data, ensuring consistency and providing actionable insights.
- Create reports and visual dashboards (graphs, charts) to communicate findings.
- Develop and implement corrective solutions based on analysis.
- Define new data collection and analysis processes.
- Assess data quality and meaning, and report trends, predictions, and recommendations to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of professional experience using open‑source technologies.
- Experience with statistical packages (Excel, Access, etc.) and financial database applications (JPE, PS, SAP, etc.).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to clean, compare, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Strong communication skills—visual, verbal, and written.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to formulate conclusions and recommend actionable tasks.
Required Certification/Licenses
- Valid driver’s license.
Pay Range: $70,000 to $75,000 per year. Benefit package includes paid time off, health, dental, vision, life insurance, savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering, and an employer‑sponsored 401(k). Additional details: sick leave (56 hours), observed holidays (11 days), vacation (flexible time off), and eligibility for up to 5% annual performance bonus.
