Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

My client is a well-established civil construction contractor operating throughout New Jersey and they are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support their project management teams on civil construction projects across the region.

They are looking for a detail-oriented engineer who is eager to grow within civil construction and gain hands-on experience supporting project planning, coordination, and execution.

Responsibilities:

• Support project managers with day-to-day project administration
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, and document control
• Track project schedules, budgets, and cost reports
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and change order pricing
• Participate in project meetings and site walks
• Support project closeout activities

Qualifications:

• 1–5 years of experience in civil construction or related engineering roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
• Proficiency with construction software and Microsoft Office
