** Senior Engineer in Automation**, you will be responsible for hands-on Automation & Controls supporting a live health and nutrition manufacturing plant, focused on troubleshooting, reliability, and small-to-medium automation improvements. The engineer will work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering to improve control system performance & sustainability.

* Key Responsibilities:
*** Support plant operations by troubleshooting automation, instrumentation, and control issues.
* Own small-to-medium automation improvements from concept through implementation.
* Improve reliability, standardization, and documentation of control systems.
* Work closely with process engineers, maintenance, IT/OT, and operators.
* Reduce reliance on external contractors by building in-house capability.
* Other duties assigned by Belvidere leadership.

** You Bring:
*** Bachelor’s degree in chemical, industrial, mechanical engineering (or related technical discipline) required.
* 4-8 years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
* Strong PLC and/or DCS experience (Emerson Delta
V experience is a plus, but not required)
* Comfortable troubleshooting live production systems under real-world constraints
* Background in batch or continuous process manufacturing (pharma, chemicals, food, or similar regulated environments preferred)
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $87,100 - $160, addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
