The Senior Marine Engineer / Senior Structural Engineer will lead marine infrastructure's design, analysis, and documentation, emphasizing waterfront and port structures, including bulkheads, piers, mooring/breasting dolphins, and pile-supported foundations. The engineer will oversee field investigations, construction-phase observations, and rehabilitating existing marine assets. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior engineers, supporting business development, and collaborating with clients and regulatory agencies to deliver high-quality, cost-effective marine solutions.

Position Description

• Lead design and analysis of marine structures: bulkheads, piers, mooring/breasting dolphins.
• Assess and rehabilitate existing waterfront structures.
• Oversee field investigations and construction observations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development.

Functions & Responsibilities

• Design and analyze marine structures and foundations.
• Evaluate structural integrity and propose rehabilitation solutions.
• Attend meetings with clients, agencies, and industry professionals.
• Supervise technical and administrative staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and project constraints.
• Prepare reports, cost estimates, and RFP responses.
• Review marine designs for accuracy and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil or Marine Engineering (Structural or Geotechnical).
• 15+ years in marine/structural engineering.
• Valid P.E. License in NJ, PA, NY, or DE (additional licenses a plus).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Expertise in marine structural design and analysis software.
• Knowledge of maritime regulations and permitting.
• Proficiency in marine materials (steel, concrete, timber, composites).
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Exceptional communication for reports and presentations.

Benefits & Compensation

• $150,000 - $200,000 Annual – full-time.
