HDM Tax Group, Inc. is looking for Tax Accountants to work in Hackensack, NJ and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Must possess two years of experience in the position offered or related position and in financial reporting & analysis; preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cashflow statements; ledger maintenance; budgeting and forecasting; compliance & auditing; use of Quick Books, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.

Job Duties- Financial Reporting:
Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. - Auditing:
Conducting financial, tax, and compliance audits, including testing accounts, evaluating internal controls, and preparing audit reports. - Tax Preparation and Compliance:
Preparing and filing various tax returns (for individuals, C‑corps, S‑corps, partnerships) and processing IRS forms. - Financial Analysis:
Performing in-depth financial analyses, developing financial models, and creating forecasts and projections to support decision‑making. - General Ledger Management:
Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring the accurate recording of all financial transactions. - Bank Reconciliation:
Performing and reviewing monthly bank and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity. - Accounts Payable (AP) and Receivable (AR):
Managing AP/AR processes, including timely payment processing and collections to optimize cash flow. - Internal Controls:
Creating, implementing, and evaluating internal control procedures to protect company assets and reduce risk. - Budgeting and Forecasting:
Developing annual budgets, tracking performance against the budget, and analyzing variances. - Payroll Accounting:
Assisting with and processing payroll activities and related journal entries. - Accounting Software Proficiency:
Using software such as Quick Books and SAP for accounting and auditing tasks. - GAAP and GAAS:
Applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) in practice.
Financial reporting & analysis; preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cashflow statements; ledger maintenance; budgeting and forecasting; compliance & auditing; use of Quick Books, SAP, and Microsoft Excel. Position may require travel.
Minimum RequirementsEducation:
None.
Experience:
Two years of experience in the position offered or related position.
Special Requirements:
- Six (6) months of the aforementioned two (2) years of experience must include the following skills:
Financial reporting & analysis; preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cashflow statements; ledger maintenance; budgeting and forecasting; compliance & auditing; use of Quick Books, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
