Finance Business Partner – Operations

Galax Eye is building next-generation earth observation solutions through advanced multi-sensor satellite and aerial platforms. The company has developed the world’s first Sync Fused OptoSAR satellite, designed to deliver all-weather, day-and-night imagery from space.
Founded in 2021 by engineers from IIT Madras, Galax Eye’s flagship Mission Drishti integrates optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data on a single satellite, enabling a new standard of geospatial intelligence.
Headquartered in Bengaluru, Galax Eye operates at the intersection of remote sensing, AI, and advanced imaging across use cases such as defence, disaster response, infrastructure monitoring, agriculture, and financial services.
Role OverviewThis role will function as a Finance Business Partner – Operations with a progression path toward leading the GRCS (Governance, Risk & Compliance Services) function. It focuses on enterprise risk management, internal controls, SOP standardization, and governance culture while partnering with technical teams.
Key Responsibilities- 1. Financial Control & Governance of Technical Programs
- Act as the finance liaison for technical and engineering teams
- Collaborate with Program Managers to implement controls and ensure governance
- Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms
- Track vendor deliverables against milestones and financial commitments
- 2. Vendor Partnerships & Commercial Finance Diligence
- Review contracts, SOWs, risks, and compliance aspects
- Evaluate pricing models and payment structures
- Secure safeguards such as bank guarantees and work completion certificates
- 3. Source-to-Pay Governance
- Oversee end-to-end financial control for high-value source-to-pay cycles
- Ensure alignment between contracts, POs, invoices, and deliverables
- Drive financial discipline in procurement cycles
- 4. Financial Controls & Accounting Alignment
- Ensure appropriate accounting treatment
- Maintain documentation and compliance trackers
- Support in defining and implementing SOPs and internal controls
- Work with the accounting team to ensure accurate and complete recording of costs
- 5. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Managers, vendors, banks, auditors, and regulators
- Ensure compliance across imports, exports, and financial processes
- 1–3 years in audit, procurement finance, vendor management, or operations finance
- Experience in tech/manufacturing/aerospace/deep-tech preferred
- Strong financial analysis and contract review
- Understanding of technical/project structures
- Knowledge of source-to-pay and compliance processes
- Strong stakeholder management
- Attention to detail and risk awareness
- CA Inter / CMA / CS
- Experience in audit, procurement finance, or program finance
