Senior Finance Manager – Commercial Finance (CPG)
This is not a traditional FP&A role.
A global, premium consumer brand is hiring a Commercial Finance Business Partner to support a North America business undergoing a strategic reset and growth push. This role sits at the center of Sales and Marketing, with a mandate to drive revenue, margin, and channel strategy—not just report on it. You will partner directly with commercial leadership to influence decisions around pricing, promotions, channel mix, and customer strategy across a multi‑channel environment (retail, eCommerce, and distribution).
Responsibilities- Own commercial finance / sales finance for a North America business unit
- Drive net revenue management across customers, channels, and price points
- Analyze cost‑to‑serve, pricing architecture, and margin drivers
- Identify opportunities in product mix, channel strategy, and pricing
- Lead performance analysis and provide decision support to Sales and Marketing
- Build tools and frameworks that enable commercial teams to own their numbers
- Partner cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders across the business
This role is highly commercial, analytical, and business‑facing, with real ownership and visibility. You will be expected to challenge assumptions, influence decisions, and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
This is not a pure FP&A reporting role, nor a supply chain finance role. It requires someone comfortable working directly with the business and driving outcomes. Candidates coming from highly centralized or global roles without in‑market execution experience may not be a fit. This role requires understanding how commercial decisions play out at the customer and channel level.
Qualifications- Experience in commercial finance, sales finance, or FP&A within a CPG environment
- Strong understanding of pricing, promotions, trade spend, and margin drivers
- Experience supporting retail, eCommerce, and/or distribution channels
- Ability to translate data into actionable business insights
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
- Experience operating in fast‑paced or evolving environments preferred
- NY / NJ area (hybrid, 2–3 days per week in office)
- Base salary: $130–150K + bonus
