Position and Location

Supervises a team of administrators responsible for providing accounting, administration and investor servicing to investment companies and advisers. Serves as a trusted advisor to clients by continually assessing changing business and strategies, providing expertise, tools and information to focus on growing investments. Acts as the escalation point for all clients assigned to the team, directing issue resolution and process changes to support client needs.
Proactively identifies risk‑related issues through review of qualitative and quantitative data, anticipates obstacles, and implements mitigating solutions.
- Lead a team of administrators (with supervisory duties similar to a junior senior accountant in public accounting) handling accounting, administration, financial reporting and regulatory reporting services for investment companies, including hedge funds, private equity funds, CLOs and others.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, continually assessing changing business and strategies, and providing expertise and tools to support investment growth.
- Act as the escalation point for all clients assigned to the team, directing issue resolution and process changes to meet client needs.
- Proactively identify risk‑related issues through review of qualitative and quantitative data, anticipate obstacles, and implement mitigating solutions.
- Review accounting and financial statement information provided for audit and tax reviews, document and set up accounting principles for unusual investment types, and set up/ process complex expense and incentive fee calculations and reconciliations.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Two to four years of experience in the alternative investments industry at a fund, an administrator, or a Big Four/Midsize public accounting firm doing fund audits.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Basic knowledge of Advent applications preferred.
- Knowledge of the Confluence financial reporting platform preferred.
- General knowledge and understanding of portfolio accounting and the investment management industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven team‑oriented, leadership and organizational abilities.
