Psychologist - Pediatric Pain and Palliative Care
OverviewSeeking a Pediatric Pain and Palliative Care Psychologist to provide a full spectrum of clinical services within our integrated pediatric program. The role involves working with all pediatric populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing assessment and treatment planning, as well as individual and family therapy. Responsibilities include training and clinical supervision of psychology interns. This position offers a weekday schedule with no on-call, weekend, or holiday obligations.
Responsibilities- Maintains awareness of the sources of reimbursements for the service and follows through to ensure that all requirements are met.
- Accurately and timely assesses readiness for discharge or transfer. Utilizes SBAR when appropriate. Makes appropriate judgments, uses available resources in a collaborative approach, and demonstrates competence per department requirements.
- Provides clinically competent case management services to clients as needed.
- Promotes a positive client experience, participates in service recovery, and encourages clients feedback.
- Provides clinical supervision to psychology interns and others as assigned.
- Discharge transfer plan, collateral contacts, initial assessment, progress notes, treatment plan, treatment plan review, and weekly summaries are completed accurately and in a timely manner per program policies and procedures.
- Initial assessments are comprehensive and demonstrate clinical competence.
- Participates in Performance Improvement activities and process.
- Provides services equal to 65% of hours worked.
- Participates in supervision as needed.
- Maintains knowledge of current issues in the field and shares information from conferences, articles, and training with others.
- Demonstrates clinical competency in group, individual, and family treatments.
- Completes psychological assessments and consults in a timely manner and demonstrates clinical competence.
- Treatment plan is measurable, individualized, and incorporates client involvement.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Required Education & Licensure:
- Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.
D.). - Completion of an internship in a relevant field such as clinical child, pediatric, or school psychology.
- Current, valid Psychologist License.
- Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.
- Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-doctoral training and/or experience in child maltreatment or forensic psychology.
Minimum rate of $ Annually.
