Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a registered dietitian to assess nutrition status, provide counseling, ensure quality assurance, and participate in staff education and performance improvement initiatives within clinical nutrition programs.
Responsibilities- Assess the nutrition status of patients using appropriate biochemical, anthropometric, physical and dietary data.
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or family members.
- Maintain quality assurance and evaluate compliance with corporate policies and procedures and State and Federal guidelines.
- Develop and participate in educational sessions for staff to increase nutritional knowledge and improve patient care.
- Maintain accurate records to meet regulatory agency guidelines and assist in statistical analysis of data and action plans for performance improvement initiatives.
- Participate in department PI projects and clinical nutrition programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Must be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
- Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- 2-3 years of experience in acute care clinical nutrition or a relevant area.
