Overview
Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Responsibilities- Under the direction of a qualified physician, performs a variety of technical MRI procedures that support diagnosis.
- Prepare and perform MRI procedures in compliance with department standards with a high accuracy level.
- Schedule appropriate time for each patient, review requisitions during the shift, and schedule properly throughout the shift.
- Prepare all opaque contrast media used in examinations with high accuracy.
- Process images within 30 minutes of completion of the examination.
- Translate physician orders into appropriate radiographic procedures with high accuracy.
- Maintain patient logs and equipment downtime records.
- Work closely with radiologist to develop imaging protocols for optimum studies.
- As charge technologist, assume responsibility for reports and work activities and distribute to supervisor.
- Address all a0"stat" and emergency studies as requested.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area, following safety and hygienic procedures.
- Maintain productivity within 20% of the FTE monthly average for the modality; exception: low-volume night shifts.
- Deliver excellent customer service to support patient satisfaction scores.
- Monitor inventory levels and supplies; notify supervisor of replacement needs with high accuracy.
- Charge all patient exams as needed.
- Transport patients safely to and from the department and designated areas as needed.
- Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions and report to a senior technologist.
- Ensure charges are properly recorded and work area remains clean to prevent injuries.
- Assist patients and families during stay and with duties of any absentee MRI staff; cross-train in other areas if applicable.
- Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned; adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Minimum 1 year prior experience as a licensed MRI Tech required.
- Ability to professionally communicate information to patients.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology required.
- NJ State MRI License required.
- AART (MRI) required.
- QUALIFICATION/LICENSURE Work Authorization: US Citizen
