Responsible for the clinical compliance and quality of the Mobile ICU and Basic Life Support Departments through education and quality assurance. May occasionally staff a paramedic or BLS vehicle, and be put on special assignment. Assists the Director as needed with the operational functions of the department.
What you will do- Clinical Oversight & Standards - Reviews charts, telemetry, and field performance to ensure regulatory and clinical compliance with hands-on clinical involvement when needed
- Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement - Identifies opportunities for improvement; participates in hospital QA committees; supports smooth transition from field to ED
- Department Education & Training - Develops and coordinates staff training, competencies, onboarding, and continuing education; facilitates EMS–hospital cross-training
- Credentialing & Compliance - Tracks staff licenses and certifications; facilitates renewals and regulatory compliance
- Academic & Student Programs - Coordinates paramedic student sponsor ships; liaises with paramedic education programs; represents department on clinical education committees
- Leadership & Supervision - Supervises department operations in absence of Director; supports staff across educational and programmatic roles
- Community Outreach & Public Relations - Provides community education; represents hospital in communities served; collaborates with external agencies
- Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) Program - Develops, implements, and oversees MIH program; supervises community paramedics
- Data, Metrics & Reporting - Uses program data to evaluate MIH effectiveness and system performance
- Financial & Resource Management - Supports the director in fiscal management
- Safety, Equipment & Environment - Supports system integration and operational readiness
- Professional Development & Representation - Represents hospital in professional and trade organizations; serves on committees
- Additional Duties - Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree EMS, Healthcare, education, or related field required
Experience Qualifications5+ years previous work related experience and/or teaching experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Licenses and CertificationsPARAMEDIC - Paramedic – Licensed
Valid New Jersey Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic Certification upon hire required
BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire required
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support upon hire required
ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700 upon hire required
CPR Instructor upon hire required
Certification in BTLS or PHTLS and NREMT-P upon hire preferred
Pay Range: $115,000 - $138,000.
