Travel Speech Language Pathologist – Fusion Medical Staffing

13‑week travel assignment

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.
• Conduct standardized assessments and clinical observations to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
• Design and implement individualized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices.
• Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, offering supportive counseling as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech‑language therapy.

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in compliance with state regulations.
• Master’s degree or higher in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Experience in Speech‑Language Pathology preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.

• Can read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Physical:
  Must remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
• Technical/Motor:
  Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures and departmental equipment.
• Mental:
  Must cope with frequent public contact and meet deadlines under pressure; able to work under occasional close supervision or independently.

  Must possess visual acuity and effective communication skills.
