Travel Speech Language Pathologist – Fusion Medical Staffing
Facility in Rochelle Park, New Jersey
13‑week travel assignment
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.
- Conduct standardized assessments and clinical observations to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Design and implement individualized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices.
- Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, offering supportive counseling as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech‑language therapy.
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in compliance with state regulations.
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech‑Language Pathology.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology.
- Experience in Speech‑Language Pathology preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Can read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Physical:
Must remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. - Technical/Motor:
Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures and departmental equipment. - Mental:
Must cope with frequent public contact and meet deadlines under pressure; able to work under occasional close supervision or independently. - Sensory:
Must possess visual acuity and effective communication skills.
