Radiology - Mammography

8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 5 days a week, rotating every other weekend. No Holidays and No on-call duties.

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing mammography examinations in compliance with ACR requirements. The role involves assisting with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, and other radiologic guided procedures performed within the Breast Center.

• Perform diagnostic and screening mammographic examinations on adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
• Handle mammographic imaging for breast needle localization procedures and stereotactic procedures, including set up and clean up.
• Assist in procedures using ultrasound guidance.
• Provide immobilization devices and select proper technical factors based on individual patient needs.
• Document procedures regarding quality control and quality assurance in compliance with ACR, MQSA, NJ State, and FDA.
• Prepare cases to be imaged, including chart and films.
• Assist with patient education, including pre and post-procedure instructions.
• Compile statistics for patient follow-ups, tracking breast localizations, and ultrasound examinations.
• Identify patient needs and modify care delivery accordingly.

• Minimum 2 years prior experience as a Licensed Mammography Technologist.
• Must have ARRT certification.
• Active Diagnostic Radiography License is required.
• Mammography certification must be obtained within the first three months of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
