Front Office Coordinator
Since 2006, the professionals at Northeast Occupational Audiology Associates have been dedicated to client-centered hearing care. We seek to answer why you are experiencing hearing difficulties. We then work to develop strategies for you to hear better.
We are seeking a part-time front office coordinator for our practice in Hackensack, NJ. The position is 30 hours a week (some flexibility). This position can lead to full-time in a year or so.
Job requirements are:
- Greet patients in person and by phone, answering questions, scheduling appointments and providing a high level of customer service. Checks voicemail and email messages.
- Follows up on prospective patients with phone calls, emails, brochures, etc.
- Maintains and keeps patient paperwork updated.
- Updates patient files in the electronic medical record system with pertinent patient information, referral sources, insurance information, hearing aid information and electronic filing of all pertinent patient records.
- Maintains hearing aid database with current serial numbers, warranty end dates, sizing, etc.
- Maintains provider applications and credentialing information for participating health plans.
- Take payments, record payments, and reconcile at end of day.
- Orders office supplies and oversee overall clinic inventory; oversee shipping and receiving of merchandise as needed.
- Enters merchandise into electronic medical records system.
- Maintains patient confidentiality as per HIPPA laws.
- Opens and closes the office according to protocol.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Some marketing assistance, contacting patients, assisting owner with outreach events.
Qualification:
- Strong computer skills, advanced knowledge of MS Suite, Adobe, Google Doc's.
- Prior medical office experience.
- Great communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks.
- Can work well independently.
- High school diploma or GED required.
