Clinical Research Nurse - Per Diem Weekend

The Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for coordinating and overseeing clinical research operations for assigned clinical trials. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong clinical background and experience in research, who are looking to contribute to advancing healthcare.

• Assist the principal investigator in preparing proposed clinical trials.
• Ensure timely submission of protocol revisions and informed consents to the IRB.
• Act as a liaison between principal investigators and sub-investigators on regulatory issues.
• Participate in the review of studies for feasibility and evaluate potential competition.
• Finalize budget drafts with the budget coordinator.
• Recruit and evaluate potential study patients.
• Review medical records for potential study patients.
• Instruct potential study patients and caregivers on aspects of care and trials.
• Document study patients' medical history per protocol guidelines.
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor study patients' progress during trials.

• Education:
  • BSN required
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience or 1 year of clinical nursing experience with an additional 2 years of clinical research experience
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position
  • National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
  • Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) preferred
  • Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) preferred
  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) preferred
