About the Position
Position Overview
One of our healthcare partners in Hackensack, New Jersey is seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a long-term locum tenens assignment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an APP with cardiac surgery experience who wants a predictable, full-time outpatient schedule without inpatient coverage, call, nights, or scheduled weekends .
The provider will work four 10-hour shifts per week , with one rotating weekday off, supporting preoperative and postoperative cardiac surgery patients in a well-established outpatient practice.
The APP will join a highly supported cardiac surgery program with five physicians and five additional outpatient APPs , along with a Clinical APN Manager and comprehensive administrative and clinical office support.
The facility is specifically seeking a local provider who does not require travel accommodations and can commit to the full-time schedule through March 31, 2027.

4 × 10-hour shifts per week
Hours:
Approximately 40 hours/week
Weekday Off: One rotating day each week
Setting:
Outpatient Cardiac Surgery only
No Inpatient Coverage
No Call
No Floating
No Scheduled Weekends
Patient Volume: Up to approximately 10 patients per session
Local Provider
Required:
Facility is seeking someone who does not require travel
Support: 5 cardiac surgeons + 5 outpatient APPs + Clinical APN Manager
NJ License: Required
DEA: Required
CDS/CDA: Current controlled-substance credential required
