The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. • Pay: $48/hour
• Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Part-time

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress preferred.

• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
