About This Role

The Registered Nurse in Neuroscience at Hackensack Meridian Health provides direct care to a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective collaboration and coordination with the interdisciplinary team.

• Pay: $48/hour
• Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-centered plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Identify ethical issues and enhance patient satisfaction.
• Maintain competencies, certifications, and continuing education.

• Education:
  • Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
  • BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire
• Experience:
  • Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
  • BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire
  • National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
