This is a hybrid (up to 3 days per week in the office in Hackensack, NJ), full-time, 12-month engagement (1099 contract).
Claims and Clinical Strategy Lead will be working on claims on all marketing materials and support any up-claim opportunities for the existing portfolio of products Face, Skin and Cotton brands to ensure the products are competitive and compelling from a claims standpoint. They will partner closely across functions (e.g. marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Packaging, Legal) and with external testing laboratories and the external network of suppliers.
In addition to a strong understanding of product claims, this role calls for both creativity and fluency in business acumen.
Primary Responsibilities
- Claims review, management of approval process
- Claims substantiations and technical memos
- Competitive claims landscaping
- Management of sample production for in-vivo and in-vitro studies
- Review of clinical and in-vitro testing reports
Required Qualifications
- 4
-10 years of proven industry experience (skin/personal care, cosmetics) with BS or 2- 8 years of experience with MS. - Understanding of GxPs and FDA Compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, including spoken and written English.
- Ability to partner effectively across a diverse set of business partners and customers to deliver key results in a timely manner.
- Entrepreneurial;
Business owner mentality, willing to be hands-on and contribute as one team. - Critical thinking and comprehensive business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous regulatory experience
- Experience with face care, skin care and skin cleansing claims substantiations
- Understanding of formulation technology and cosmetic chemistry
- Experience in formulation / product / process development in the cosmetic or drug regulatory classifications
