The Manager of the Trauma Program at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for overseeing all operational, financial, and personnel aspects of the Trauma Program. This role is ideal for experienced professionals looking to lead and enhance trauma care services.

• Manage the trauma program in accordance with ACS-COT, NJ Department of Health, and Joint Commission requirements.
• Monitor compliance with hospital policies through clinical observation and staff evaluation.
• Review, revise, and evaluate the Trauma Program PI Plan annually.
• Supervise collection and analysis of trauma registry reports for quality improvement.
• Ensure ongoing measurement and reporting of findings to appropriate departments.
• Oversee ACS Trauma Site re-verification and Joint Commission reviews.
• Collaborate with the Trauma Chief to establish and monitor evaluation goals.
• Prepare the annual budget with the Trauma Chief and Director of Surgery.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to address patient care and safety issues.
• Serve as a resource for clinical practice to nursing staff and EMS.

Education:

• BS Degree in Nursing or other health allied field required
• Master's Degree in Nursing or related Healthcare field preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required
• Recent clinical experience in critical care, trauma, and/or emergency required

Licenses &

Certifications:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification required
• Trauma Nursing Core Course Certification required
