ABOUTTHE ROLE
The Health Education Specialist designs, implements, and manages health education and promotion programs that empower individuals, families, and communities to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles. This role uses data-driven approaches to assess community health needs, develop targeted interventions, and evaluate program effectiveness. The Health Education Specialist collaborates with health systems, community organizations, and public agencies to improve health outcomes, influence policies, and expand access to health education resources.
WHOYOU ARE
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Health Promotion, Community Health, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- You have CHES or MCHES certification.
- You have experience developing, implementing, and evaluating health education or public health programs.
- You have experience with community engagement, needs assessments, data analysis, program evaluation, and health education outreach.
- You have strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- You work effectively with diverse communities, teams, and stakeholders.
- You are committed to social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- You lead with empathy, integrity, accountability, collaboration, and sound judgment.
