We are seeking a highly organized and personable Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. While experience in logistics is a plus, candidates from diverse industries are encouraged to apply. A strong focus on onboarding is essential, as this role involves ensuring new hires are smoothly integrated into our company culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate the hiring process by collaborating with departmental managers across various functions to identify skills and competencies needed for open positions.
- Lead onboarding for all new hires, including warehouse employees and drivers, which encompasses completing new hire/re-hire paperwork, I-9 verification, and WOTC compliance.
- Complete and maintain accurate I-9 documentation and files.
- Conduct engaging new hire orientations in both English and Spanish.
- Answer routine questions from applicants regarding employment procedures.
- Maintain employee records accurately and securely.
- Assist with processing termination paperwork as needed.
- Promote and reinforce company culture, core values, and policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing employee requests and inquiries.
- Support employment-related questions from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating sensitive or complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Clarify HR policies and assist with basic benefits inquiries.
- Help coordinate and support annual open enrollment processes.
- Organize and participate in all employee-related events.
- Perform other administrative and clerical duties to support the Human Resources Department as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2+ years of Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment—experience outside of logistics is highly valued.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure and dynamic environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with employees at all levels.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional demeanor under pressure.
