Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Development, System, and Architecture teams to implement the System team’s roadmap, including infrastructure and pipeline automation as well as new platform technology initiatives.
• Design and develop automated installation and configuration of supported solutions, including OS, database, and application tiers.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and document current and future-state automation processes, procedures, and environments.
• Lead engagements to improve automation capabilities across functional areas.

• Infrastructure as Code:
  Cloud Formation, Terraform, CDK for Terraform

• Experience with Octopus Deploy
• Experience working for a SaaS‑driven product company
• Building CI/CD pipelines from scratch using Jenkins and/or Git Hub Actions
• Linux Administration

• Strong experience designing and implementing infrastructure automation and configuration management tools and techniques.
• Strong communication skills—verbal and written—with the ability to collaborate well within a team and across organizations.
• Experience coding and deploying AWS and other cloud services with an Infrastructure as Code mindset.
• Ability to design, deploy, and manage operating systems and/or applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration in a variety of environments—private and public clouds.
• Experience with at least one automation/scripting/deployment language such as Python, Ruby, Go, Power Shell, Cloud Formation, Terraform, etc.
• Experience with centralized infrastructure and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, DSC, Salt, etc.
• Automated build experience with tools like MS Build, Jenkins, Ant, Quick Build, etc.
• Experience with one or more software development languages including Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, or C++.
• Desired experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) environments, including architecture and management.
• Experience in a Dev Ops culture and understanding of security best practices when architecting environments, applications, and CI/CD processes.

• Undergraduate degree preferably in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in technology‑related roles.
