About the PositionWe’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Engineer III to join our growing team. This is a senior‑level role ideal for someone who thrives in solving complex technical challenges, mentoring junior engineers, and leading strategic support initiatives in a hybrid cloud infrastructure environment.
You’ll act as the highest escalation point for technical support, oversee systems and cloud platforms (especially Microsoft 365, Azure, AVD, and Intune), and play a key role in security enforcement, automation, and IT innovation.
This role is based on‑site with minimal travel required.
What You’ll Do- Act as the senior escalation point for complex issues across Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, Entra (Azure AD), and hybrid environments.
- Lead root cause analysis and mentor Support Engineers I & II through knowledge sharing and technical oversight.
- Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure (Azure, AVD, Intune) and core backend systems like Active Directory, Hyper‑V, Windows Server, and RDS.
- Manage VoIP systems, firewalls, and network configurations (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, TCP/IP).
- Lead software deployment, OS imaging, and device provisioning through tools like Autopilot and Intune.
- Enforce zero‑trust architecture and compliance aligned with NIST, CIS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts using Defender for Endpoint, Azure Sentinel, and other tools.
- Build automation scripts (Power Shell, Python, or Bash) to streamline IT operations and increase efficiency.
- Integrate ITSM tools (e.g., Vivantio, Service Now) to enhance asset tracking, ticket resolution, and reporting.
- Participate in IT projects such as cloud migrations and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and Dev Ops teams on design, optimization, and continuity planning.
- Maintain runbooks, procedures, system documentation, and internal knowledge bases.
- Provide user training on collaboration tools, security best practices, and technical troubleshooting.
- Participate in on‑call rotations to ensure high system uptime and performance.
- Lead monitoring, capacity planning, and proactive maintenance efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years in IT with proven growth in responsibility and complexity.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra , AVD, Intune, and Windows Server environments.
- Strong scripting skills (Power Shell required; Python/Bash a plus).
- Experience with cloud platforms, REST APIs, mobile device support, and infrastructure design.
- Familiarity with VoIP telephony and enterprise phone systems.
- A security‑first mindset and experience with compliance frameworks.
