Job Overview

Field‑Based Position:
To be considered, candidates must reside in the New Jersey area. This role requires 100% travel, including Monticello, NY;
Wyckoff, NJ;
White Plains, NY; and surrounding or other areas, based on business needs. The role may require work after 5pm and on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily functions using WFM device to update service and installation cases.
  • Receive and accept service and installation cases.
  • Update ETA information within specified guidelines.
  • Log times using WFM timer functions for Shop, Travel, Onsite, Repair, Audit.
  • Create and update parts requests as required (receipt/return).
  • Close and update cases including any asset changes.
  • Perform asset inventory of client sites during installations.
  • Diagnostics & component replacement for PCs (85‑95% competency).
  • Operating system or system image management.
  • BIOS configuration.
  • Virus protection – AV loads.
  • Use of diagnostic tools.
  • PC upgrades and SIA loads.
  • Drive loads and dot matrix (85‑95% competency).
  • Change configs/default.
  • Replace print head, FRU, cables, OCP, switches, platen, motor/belts/sensors, tractors lasers.
  • Resolve paper jam issues, clean rollers.
  • Spooler setup and maintenance (85‑95% competency).
  • Master spooler procedures and redirect printing.
  • Hardware installation, relocation, presite and design procedures, quality procedures.
  • Client interfacing and install certification.
  • Snap‑On support (95‑100% competency): loading procedures, licensing, workstation setup, SLA driving, customer interaction.
  • Revenue generation (85‑95% competency): 3rd‑party PC maintenance, maintenance resign, T & M, PC sales with maintenance.
  • Field troubleshooting skills (85‑95% competency): first‑call resolution, new product updates, OTA network.
  • Wired LAN, WAN, bridge troubleshooting and repair.
  • Configuring routers (NDC/Advanced models), NAT, access lists, VLAN config, site‑to‑site VPN.
  • Security – VPN concentrator, SDWAN (Cloud Connect).
  • IPT phone handset, IPT TS, IPT call manager, IPT router wireless implementation (85‑95% competency).
  • Wireless site survey (Active/Passive) and access point coverage/configuration.
  • Use of CDK tooling for wireless bridge implementation.
  • Application tools:
    Proton, Heisenberg, Ekahau, Meraki Dashboard, Salesforce, Velo Cloud Orchestrator, Microsoft 365, case management system.
  • Active listening (85‑95% competency).
  • Demonstrated active listening skills and conflict resolution (95‑100% competency).
  • Client interaction and team interaction.
  • Spares inventory maintenance – scan all items during quarterly count.
  • Professional style: proper attire (business casual) and personal hygiene.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some automotive knowledge (dealership and dealer workflows).
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly compensation: $32.00 to $39.00 per hour. Compensation packages may include annual performance bonuses and other incentive plans.
